Job Summary

We’re looking for a focused and curious Back-end Intern to help build and maintain backend services that scale. You’ll work on API design, database modeling, performance tuning, and reliability practices while collaborating with senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement robust RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Work on data modeling and interaction with relational databases (PostgreSQL / MySQL).
  • Write clean, testable code and contribute to unit & integration tests.
  • Participate in performance tuning, profiling, and optimizing backend services.
  • Help build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
  • Assist in monitoring, logging, and incident response to improve service reliability.
  • Collaborate with frontend and product teams to deliver end-to-end features.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree (or pursuing) in Computer Science or related field.
  • Familiarity with Java and the Spring Boot ecosystem.
  • Basic knowledge of REST, HTTP, and relational databases.
  • Comfort writing tests and working with Git-based workflows.
  • Eagerness to learn about production systems, scaling, and reliability.
  • Good communication skills and a team-first mindset.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
  • Familiarity with message queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ) or caching (Redis).
  • Knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
